OVER $116,000 IN FREE DENTAL CARE GIVEN TO THOSE IN NEED
On Friday, February 11th 2011 Dr. Floyd Kasch, Dr. Brent Maiden, Dr. Duane Starr, Dr. Sophia Tan, Dr. Duane Cartwright, Dr. Lant Haymore, Dr. Gabriela Aranda, Dr. Curtis Bedont and our staff here at Sleep Dentistry of Portland offered a gesture of caring and goodwill by giving back to the community. The volunteers consisted of our regular staff members as well as outside volunteers. They worked from 7:30 am until 5:00 that evening. One hundred and twenty low income people were seen on a first come, first serve basis. $37,088 in free dental care was given away to those in need that may not have been able to receive dental treatment otherwise. This is the fifth year that Sleep Dentistry of Portland has held our Dentistry From The Heart free dentistry event. Last year over $31,386 in dental care was given away to ninety nine people. To date, Sleep Dentistry of Portland has helped 413 people and given away over $116,000 in free dental care.
Sleep Dentistry of Portland has made this an annual event and hopes that more doctors in the surrounding communities will join us in providing free dental care for our community. Our next free dentistry event will be held on Friday, February 10th 2012.
